Home visit team-Our
Home Visit teams do exactly that – they physically visit the
home of the individual or family before the adoption process is
completed. This ensures that the home is a safe, stable and
loving environment, and that their new pet will be accepted as a
permanent family member. BARK provides each Home Visit team with
a training session and a Home Visit checklist in preparation for
this critical volunteer task.
Animals
from BARK are often amazing escape artists. Volunteers can help
point out escape routes and possible safety issues to potential
adopters. Sponsorship-Many
people have the desire to help our dogs, but they often have as
many pets as their homes can support. Sponsoring an animal by
making a tax deductible donation helps defray the cost of
spaying/neutering, shots, heartworm and flea prevention, and
toys. If you wish, you may sponsor an animal until a permanent
home is found for it.
Develop Promotional/Adoption
Materials for Distribution-We
are constantly striving to make surrounding communities aware of
the many wonderful animals we have available for adoption. We
keep several adoption photo books and bulletin boards on display
at a local area vets and doggie daycares. We are looking for
folks to create, distribute and maintain future adoption albums.
We are also recruiting volunteers to post Adoption flyers and
keep them current. Promoting Fundraisers.
Websites-We
maintain a list, complete with descriptions and photos, of our
adoptable pets, very easy point, click and copy, may take 1 hour
a month.

them find a niche.
