Fostering is a Rewarding experience!
Thank you for considering helping homeless animals through foster care!  Foster homes are a very critical part to our, or any, rescue organization, as we can only save as many animals as we can foster.  Acting as a foster parent is a lot of work, but is also very enjoyable and rewarding!

We understand that fostering for the first time can be a scary endeavor, and we're here to make everything go as smoothly as possible!

We are in constant contact with our foster homes, and you'll probably make some friends along the way! Most importantly, fostering requires love and patience. We have no way to predict how long an animal will be in foster care prior to adoption. Some are adopted the same month, and others are in foster care for over a year! We ask that, if a person decides to foster, they accept this, and are willing to commit to foster the animal until it is adopted out.

We make every effort to match the appropriate foster animal to foster homes, and no foster home will ever get an animal they do not want! If you have a breed, age, or size preference, please let us know.  Since there are so many homeless animals that need help, we can help one that meets your needs as well.
Prior to fostering an animal, we ask that all potential foster homes complete a foster application. A BARK volunteer will conduct a home check to ensure that the foster mom and dad have all of their questions answered and we know where the animal will be staying, and a foster license with the state may be applied for as needed.

SparkyJack is doing well also.  He is very active and loves to give kisses.  He is totallly ripped (muscular) from all the exercise (jumping, running and playing with Shiloh).  When I come back to the area and work at CBW Jack comes with me to see all his old friends.  I am so glad we adopted him!

JackI went to Cleveland a month ago and visited with Sparky.  He now weighs 26 pounds and is very comical.  He lost his Huskey sister, Azure, in April, but he is doing fine now as the only dog in the household.  Sparky is their center of attention and has been a great emotional help to Diane.
