Not Saying Goodbye, but Thank you!!
BARK has been
around since the year 2000 and has rescued many animals
of all types (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and even
fish)! We are grateful for all of our volunteers
and adopters that have helped ensure that our animals
find loving homes.
This year,
2012, we will be closing our doors.
The economy has been very rough for non-profits and
everyone over the last few years. This is one of
the biggest reasons we will be closing our doors.
Donations are down, volunteers are hard to find and a
lot of people just can't afford to adopt and care for
animals during these tough times.
Our animals
that don't get adopted out, will continue to live with
and be loved by their foster moms and dads and be shown
the love they never felt on the streets.
There are much
larger rescues that are able to work full time at what
they do and if you are looking to volunteer, we would
gladly point you in their direction.
**If
you have adopted an animal from us and can no longer keep him or
her, please let us know. We devote our life to finding
safety for every animal that we have rescued. We may not
have room to take him or her in, but we will do everything we
can to find him or her safety in another reputable rescue or
forever home.** |
Barktopia - Animal
educational site
BARK gets email
from around the world with our education about the sad
truth about "Teacup" dogs. We want to continue to
educate people and will do so by a new site that I
developed called Barktopia.
Barktopia is an
informational site about all animals. Everything from
the truth about "Teacup dogs", parakeet care, heartworm
info, lost and found and so much more! I will
also be continuing our memorial wall on that website.
I think that is another important aspect of the site to
continue. I lost my dog Lily to congestive heart
failure and cancer this year and I know how much it
means to me to have her photo up there. Even
though she will be forever in my heart!
