BARK is an all breed rescue located in Belleville, IL that works to rescue animals, place them into foster homes, and find permanent, loving families. We are a rescue group, meaning we have no actual shelter facility.  We take in animals who were found as strays, out of shelters where their time may be up and from neglectful situations.  We encourage every pet owner to have their animal spayed or neutered.

BARK is 100% volunteers. Some work full time, others are going to college. Still, we all make time to save these little (and sometimes big!) lives. We exist solely on donations, as we are an IRS licensed 501(c)3 non-profit organization (donations are tax-deductible). We are fully licensed by the state, and we are always looking for people to help our organization and the animals!

Mission Statement

B.A.R.K. is made up of a group of people with the desire to step forward and contribute to the solution of pet overpopulation and abuse by giving a second chance to animals in need, through fostering, volunteering, fund raising, transporting, and most importantly, through commitment to a cause greater than themselves.
