If you’re looking for a tall, dark and handsome cat,
here I am! Just be sure that you want a super lovey
cat, that I will give! I do not ignore or keep to
myself, I want to be involved in your life and share
everything with you. When you look into me eyes, I have
magical powers that just melt your heart. Well, that’s
what my foster mom says! I like to follow you from room
to room or check on your periodically. My purrs and
chatter sounds are just to die for. I’m very personable
and love humans of all ages. Extremely good around
children, even the little ones. The gentler they are,
the more time I will spend with the children watching
them play. Very gentle and docile, even at the vets
office. Not timid around strangers, no problems
introducing myself and carrying a conversation. My
foster mom says I’m really good with the litter box, can
not get enough of a good brushing, love my scratching
post (and it comes with me to your house), I let her
clip my nails as needed, and keep her warm during naps!
The only complaint, I like to “help” her while she
crochets things for her grandchildren while watching TV
in the evenings. Yarn is just so much fun to play
with! I’m a very sweet boy and have never been mean,
claw, or bite at anything or anyone in my foster home.
Have never ever jumped up on the kitchen table or
counter. Not even interested in kitty snacks, treats,
or people food (which I can not have anyway). Mom
hasn’t even seen me hack up hair ball! What more could
you ask for, I’m an easy keeper! I like to play with my
cat toys and the laser light is just way awesome! You
may even have to make me stop because I will over do it
some times! Window watching is really neat; I even
stalk bird shadows on the floor which is so much fun to
see. You’ll really enjoy my nice guy personality every
day!
Tanqueray looks like a panther with long legs, big ears
and an extraordinarily long arching tail. He was five
pounds at only ten weeks of age. We couldn’t believe
it, but the vet verified his age. Currently he is 17
pounds but we are trying to lower this down a tiny bit
more. He was a bit over weight when we got him. A big
framed cat but a very gentle giant, he’s not the typical
teen aged cat. You would think he was a much older cat
with his type of demeanor.
Tanqueray would love a home with children or to be the
only spoiled pet. He does not do well at all with other
cats, puppys, or small/medium dog breeds in general.
Does tolerate foster mom’s 65 pound foster dog, as long
as he’s not being silly or jumpy and just basically
leaves him alone. Again, would be ideal as the only cat
in the household.
The foster parents would like to adopt him out within an
hour’s drive of Belleville, IL. |
