Hi, my name is Gypsy. I was lost and
alone in an industrial area of Sauget
IL. I was limping & sometimes I just couldn't use
my right front leg at all. A nice man named Tom
started feeding me. He worked locally, & even came
back on the week ends to make sure I had food. He
wanted to help me, but I was afraid to go near him.
Finally, I was so cold and tired, I let him put
something around my neck & just waited for what
ever would happen. Then some other people came. I was
so scared I could hardly move, but they coaxed me into a
wire thing and then I was inside a warm place that
seemed to move very fast. Since then, I have done
very well. The vet said my leg just needed some
rest, like if a person had a bad sprain. I am in a
foster home with cats & dogs. I can be with the
cats, & I get along fine with them. So far, I have
not been able to be out with the dogs, until my
sprain heals completely, since the vet recommended rest
for my leg. I am learning my basic commands,
& just getting used to being inside. The foster mom would like to adopt her out within an
hours drive of St. Louis, MO. |
